Harnessing Frustration

(written by: Chris Romero)

What is this body we are trapped in. This carcass filled with wants and desires,

Emotions and needs is this rotting flesh that continues to bleed. What is this?

Following centuries of silence, the predilection to come forth is a calling

Through tales of grim and dyer circumstances we were summoned to adhere to it

A compelling force with unfamiliar ground harnessed itself to our molds

Creating what society has feared since the dawn of time; an understanding

Positioned in a state of madness far from the average appalling victim we were sent

Sedated as those around us were tormented with their own abuses, it would seem

An outcaste of a neglected society which beacons truth but accepts only lies in turn

Falling into destitution amongst the strangers that glare back in only mockery

An illusion is a perpetually unattainable outcome, due to those that are seated in prestige

The massive and unaware herds of spectators succumb to a vile that secretes from flesh

Through the crevices which utter our names to return back to our own paths

Lurks the reasoning of despair, inherent in all except those who needn’t be named

Showered with gold, these stars are bathed in a sea of vanity, whose waters are greed

Tales and stories of the prosperous lend subtle delight to those of us in unfamiliarity

Vicariously submitting to an incompetent surrender is what they want and expect

Eager to become the adoration of the worms who have all managed to still slither

Your stars shine what appears to be nothing more than a parasite dressed in jewels

Exemplifying the attributes of an empty and superficial entity are our beloved ones

Disgusted we should have been by now, of their substantial and evident hierarchy

To unravel the recent turmoil that triggers an upheaval within our times is simply this?

An alien colony has submerged and dominated themselves with utmost precision

The plan began as a way they could all live, interact, and compel us in deception

Their efforts started as a way to deter and dismiss such claims of their existence

As cities burn and heads are severed through the rampage that follows our trails

Of every strategic decision to intently harm and unite in war amongst another

The grimace of the beast will surface for all to see, displayed by the caste of celestials

Who else glitters with more arrogance, unfamiliar ness, and such alien qualities to us?

The compelling nature of their lifestyles is suffocating our daily normality’s as we are

Awaiting the prolonged exchange of civil tender; a purchase of a volatile reality

A vision of a world that swims in the sewers of the limy filth and excrement of them

They are those who secrete out waste and laugh as the population tunes in and turns on

What is it other than the undeniable and conclusive facts of their true forms that we seek?

No approval, conversation, or even acknowledgment is given to us who they need

Silent flocks of sheep bounded up in their lavish tales are us, my dying breed of humans

Nonchalantly through their piercing of our cerebral vortex have we disengaged?

On a complete path to apathy is our humanity, fearing a total loss of integrating normalcy

Deprived just like those of poverty, they too should know the struggle of isolation

In a separate state of unanimity is a group of individuals scarred and wondering

What it was that led us out of the darkness that engulfed all those who consume

It was a letter written by a man, who had just about had enough of aliens called stars
